ARGUS READERS have helped raise £50,000 for our Sparkle Appeal to build a new centre for disabled children like Brodie Hiscocks.
Our appeal has raised £50,000 mark after just five months of your dedicated fundraising.
And for children like Brodie, seven, who suffers from Williams Syndrome, a condition which leaves him with poor co-ordination and possible heart defects, it means the dream of a new specialist treatment centre in Newport is a step closer.
Thanks to the committed fundraising and donations from Argus readers, we have raised an amazing £10,000 every month since the appeal was launched in December.
We are aiming to raise £250,000 towards a £6m children's centre for disabled children in Newport, south Monmouthshire and Torfaen.
In the past five months the response has been overwhelming with young and old making donations of money, organised fundraising events. The momentum will continue through the summer, with more events planned to raise money and awareness .
