THERE'S comedy in the home of the Manic Street Preachers next week when comedy club Jongleurs visits Blackwood Miners' Institute.
The club was first established in 1983 and now owns a chain of 17 clubs around the UK. And they're bringing some of the best comedians from those venues on a tour of regions where modern stand-up is rarely glimpsed.
Next Thursday's headliner Sean Collins, left, was trained as a child counsellor in Canada and began his storytelling comedy career in Vancouver. He'll be ably supported by Swiss-born and New Zealand-raised Brendan Lovegrove and compere Phil Butler, once a chef and now a hilarious magician.
Jongleurs comes to the 'Stute next Thursday night at 8pm. Tickets are £10 from the box office on 01495 227206.
