The Tiny Tots nursery at the University of Wales, Newport has scored top marks in its latest inspection report. ESTYN, HM Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales, praised the quality of educational planning at the day care nursery for enabling every child to develop their full potential in the most enjoyable way.
It went on to note that play at the 18-place nursery is carefully structured to help the children's thinking, problem-solving and decision-making.
"It was fantastic to do so well in this important inspection," said Clare Sawkins, director of Tiny Tots.
"We are currently running at near capacity, providing facilities of the highest standards and enabling our students and staff to concentrate on their work and studies secure in the knowledge that their children are in the best of care."
This is the second accolade for Tiny Tots - six months ago, it passed its first inspection by the Care Standards Inspectorate of Wales.
