The Rat Trap is a pub where you can relax, enjoy good food and good company.
It is convenient for most people just off the A449 and yet the peaceful location instantly makes you enjoy the welcoming style of the staff.
After a drink in the bar area and a study of the menu my partner and I made our way into the restaurant where once again we were welcomed warmly by staff and a warm atmosphere of background music.
My partner chose the black pudding and apple fritter tower for starters and I chose the deep fried cheddar with salad which was delicious. Both portions were generous.
For the main meal my partner had the lamb and I chose the steak with pepper sauce - both came with a selection of potatoes and vegetables. By the end of the main course my partner and I were full but couldn't resist trying one of the sweets.
We both had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, which proved to be an excellent end to a delicious and tasty meal.
The meal plus drinks cost £54.
The Rat Trap Inn is ideal for a quiet meal and if you go with that in mind you are sure to enjoy an evening with a warm and friendly welcome and good value food.
