THERE'S a serious change of pace at Ebbw Vale's Beaufort Theatre this week - from their usual blues to a crowd of comedians.
Jongleurs, the UK-spanning comedy club empire, are invading the Valleys with their new Comedy on the Road tour.
The club was first established in 1983, and now owns 17 clubs around the UK. And they're bringing the best comedians from those venues on a tour of regions where stand-up is rarely seen.
The show's headliner, Jim Jeffries, is a local celebrity in his home city of Perth, Western Australia - though as he points out, even a local newsreader can be a celebrity there.
Nevertheless, he won Comic of the Year there in 2000, and has made a big splash in the UK.
He'll be ably supported by Adam Crow, Ronnie Edwards and Steve Hughes next Thursday night. Tickets are £7 and the laughter begins at 8pm sharp. Box office 01495 350360.
