NEWPORT Gwent Dragons captain Andy Marinos makes his debut for the Barbarians tomorrow in their annual match against Leicester at Welford Road.
Dragons coach Mike Ruddock has agreed to release Marinos which means he probably won't start for the new Celtic League leaders in Friday night's match against joint bottom team Glasgow at Hughenden.
Steve Winn is likely to come into the centre and Lee Jarvis will probably get a start at outside half after his encouraging final 20 minutes in the late, late show against Ulster.
But Ruddock is facing a big problem at lock where he has three players unavailable and is unlikely to call on a fourth.
Ian Gough is still out with damaged ankle ligaments, though he is only a week or so away from resuming, Michael Owen will be with Wales and Luke Charteris with Wales Under-21s.
And Ruddock will probably not request Neil Edwards' release from Ebbw Vale because they have an important cup-tie against Swansea on Saturday.
Peter Sidoli, who hasn't missed any of the Dragons' 21 matches, is the only fit regular available, and he is likely to be partnered by back row forward Ross Beattie.
He is tall enough and big enough to play there, and he could be Ruddock's best option under the circumstances.
Even then it will be a tight call in the back row if Bob Skinstad recovers from the thigh injury which forced him out of the Ulster game.
For Jason Forster, Shawn Van Rensburg and Jamie Ringer are all playing well, while Rhys Oakley has now recovered from a broken bone in his hand.
