Newport County's impressive away record will come under close scrutiny when they make the long journey into Kent to face Dover tomorrow in the Dr Martens League, Premier Division.
County have the second best away record in the Premier Division. Only Weymouth, chasing a place in the Conference, have done better on their travels.
County have triumphed seven times on the road but Dover have the second best home record and that could well result in a repeat of last season's scoreline at the Crabble Athletic ground - a goalless draw - and that was the Welsh club's first visit to the Kent channel port.
County manager Peter Nicholas said: "It was an important three points for us from the midweek win over Stafford and our game at Dover will certainly be difficult."
There will be no Allan Stevenson. The central midfield player, substitute against Stafford, has joined Welsh Premier League strugglers Barry Town on a month's loan. His place on the bench has been taken by Chris Rogers, Nicholas naming an unchanged starting line-up.
Barry are battling to preserve their Premier status and manager Colin Addison, recently arrived at Jenner Park to hopefully stage a Houdini act has quickly turned to Nicholas - they were together at Swansea City - for help to strengthen his squad.
County goalkeeper Duncan Roberts, out with a leg injury, is expected to make a return a week tomorrow at home to Tiverton and Scott Morgan, who visits a specialist today for the lowdown on his knee injury, could be back for Hednesford's visit next Wednesday.
l County were travelling overnight and chairman Wallace Brown said this morning: "There has been no problems with the pitch as I don't think the snow has reached there."
