Sonny Parker is relishing his partnership with Iestyn Harris and hopes the pair can take their performance against Scotland to a whole new level against Ireland next Saturday.
Parker and Harris formed a solid midfield that set the platform for Rhys and Shane Williams to attack a weak Scottish defence.
And Parker admits he enjoys playing alongside the Cardiff Blues' inside centre. "Iestyn does things that other players don't," said Parker.
"He is so talented. His passing is superb and is quite elusive, and I enjoy playing alongside him. "We work well and I think are the perfect partnership. I'm a bit more direct, so in that respect we have contrasting styles of play, but the contrast seems to work."
Parker has been troubled by several injuries over the past 12 months, and there were fears that he had aggravated an old injury midway through the second half.
But the Celtic Warriors' centre thinks that he should be OK for next weekend.
"I took a big hit and hurt my left shoulder. I've had problems with that area before, but it doesn't seem to be serious and I should be OK to play... if picked."
Parker was relieved that Wales had finally got off to a winning start in the Six Nations, but was surprised how weak the opposition was.
"In fairness, they are a brand-new side, so they are bound to have problems," he said.
"I guess you could draw comparisons to their situation now to ours two years ago, and they've got a lot of hard work ahead.
"They've got a new coach and some excellent players, so they should come through a better side.
"But I did think they would have been more of a threat and was quite amazed with their game plan. They tried to keep it quite tight, when it would have been better to play attacking rugby and should have used their backs more."
Parker's performances in the World Cup were a huge factor in Wales' success in Australia.
But he said the atmosphere on Saturday beat anything he experienced in Australia.
"That was the best atmosphere I've ever played in," he said.
"The expectancy after the World Cup was clear, but that was an amazing experience and one I will never forget."
