SIMPLE Kid's own tour might be skipping Wales but he can be found supporting Travis here in March.
The duffle-coated one, who's been plodding a slow path to rock-super-stardom for years, is in the CIA on Monday, March 22.
He'll be promoting his new country-style single, Truck On, which was released this week, taken from his debut album Simple Kid 1.
Once upon a time he played Clwb Ifor Bach in The Young Offenders, a band so dire even to mention them would be unfair on the young beardy-weirdy.
As Simple Kid, he's less like Van Morrison than Damon Gough, with a hint of the Hollywood-wardrobes about him.
The music is pleasing in a quaint kind of way, like a pappy movie you might enjoy with a serious hangover.
He was based in Camden but is originally from Ireland. He played the new bands' tent in Glastonbury recently bearing a flying V-guitar and wearing classic indie threads.
He's got a growing following out there which is probably why Jools Holland had in him to do Later last year.
Later this year he's going to Ireland to write more country-styled music on a laptop computer.
