GARAN Evans and Shane Williams make their World Cup debuts for Wales in Sunday's mighty World Cup clash against New Zealand in Sydney.
But still there is no place for Chris Wyatt, the Newport born and bred Llanelli lock which means he has yet to start any of Wales' four World Cup pool games.
There is a place, however, for former Newport back for forward Alix Popham, who makes his second start at number eight having already played against Tonga.
Jonathan Thomas makes his first World Cup start alongside Popham at blindside flanker, with Colin Charvis switching to openside.
There are eleven changes, one positional, from the side which beat Italy last week, six in the backs and four in the forwards with Charvis moving positions.
Williams has recovered from the flu which has sidelined him this week and his presence plus that of Evans will increase Wales' options in attack.
The outside half position changes yet again, coach Steve Hansen this time opting for Stephen Jones instead of Ceri Sweeney, the greater reliability of Jones preferred to the less accurate kicking of Sweeney which would be ruthlessly exploited by the All Blacks back three running out of defence.
Mark Taylor, Tom Shanklin and Gareth Cooper all return in the back division. Coach Steve Hansen was unable to pick Iestyn Harris, Martyn Williams and Kevin Morgan, all of whom are suffering from slight injuries. But Sonny Parker will face his former New Zealand team-mates.
Iestyn Thomas returns at loose head prop while Robert Sidoli steps in at lock along with Thomas and Popham in the back row.
Brett Cockbain stays at lock at the expense of the Wyatt. Hansen, explaining why Wyatt was not starting, said: "It's a squad of 22 and some players start while some people finish.
