New Zealand 53 Wales 37
A valiant Welsh performance gave the World Cup one of its best games so far.
Wales bounced back from a 21-10 deficit in the first 20 minutes to take a 34-33 lead seven minutes into the second half. New Zealand smothered Wales' comeback with three tries in the final quarter.
With 12 tries scored, both teams picked up a bonus point in a game of fine, attacking rugby.
The all Blacks now face South Africa in Melbourne on 8 November, with Wales playing England in Brisbane on 9 November.
