Cogent Defence and Security Networks, NHS Wales, Royal Navy & Royal Marines are just some of the major employers who have rushed to book their stands at the brand new Job Scene The Roadshow presented by the South Wales Argus taking place at the Newport Centre, Newport on 18 March 2004.

The organisers of the national series of recruitment and training events, TJW Exhibitions are extremely pleased with the response from employers and training providers within the area as Jon Matthews, sales executive of the organisation said:

"There's been a very good uptake and I've received an extremely positive response from employers in the area. Many say it's great that something on the Roadshow's scale is coming to Newport."

Exhibitors always have different objectives for being present at a Roadshow but most share wanting to raise awareness of the employment and training opportunities available within their organisation.

The Bridge Training Centre, part of Newport City Council, will be at next year's Roadshow to do just that.

The aim of the centre is to deliver a first class training service tailored to the needs of the learner with the aim of improving employment opportunities, quality of life and standard of living of the individual.

Jill Morgan, manager of The Bridge Training Centre explained why it is so important for them to be present at the Roadshow.

"Exhibiting at Job Scene The Roadshow will enable us to reach local people and inform them of opportunities available at The Bridge. We hope that this will increase the number of people accessing the varied training services which are on offer here."
