THE Isle of Man TT races, arguably the most gruelling in the motorcycling calendar, are not for the faint-hearted, but all grandfather of three Ian Watson from the North East town of Guisborough is focused on is the finish line. Ian, a self-confessed Kawasaki fanatic, will travel to the Isle of Man for the world-renowned event at the end of May with Kawasaki Newcastle on hand to supply him with spares for his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6RR.

Jeff Gouch of Kawasaki Newcastle said: "We have helped Ian in the past with some sponsorship and he is such an enthusiast that we are more than happy to supply him with spares for his bike at the TT and Scarborough races this year."

Jeff, who considers himself as a 'jack of all trades' when it comes to bikes has raced in the past himself and added: "I have entered a wide variety of events including mini-moto, enduro and quad racing. I was so sick of Ian overtaking me constantly I decided that if you can't beat them, you may as well join them."

Kawasaki Newcastle has a strong and growing reputation and is currently thriving on the success of Kawasaki's latest generation of motorcycles. This month alone, the busy dealership has ordered a raft of ZX-6R's and quantities of Kawasaki's stunning new mid-range nake bike - the Z750. Jeff said: "This is as fantastic time for us with the current Kawasaki range. To be able to help another Kawasaki rider fulfil his dream was not a difficult decision for us."

Each year more than 500 racers arrive at Mona's Isle to take on the challenge that awaits. The majority are under no illusions that they are there to pick up a finishers medal. Emulating the 26 victories of record breaking Joey Dunlop doesn't even enter their mind.
