A GRIEVING mother whose son's body was dumped in a lane near Newport says the family have more questions than answers about his death.

The body of Dorian Foxwell was found by a jogger in a lane between St Brides and Marshfield last October.

The 32-year-old, from Treowen, had an injection mark on his body and blunt trauma injuries, although these were later ruled out as being the cause of his death.

An investigation launched by Gwent police led to manslaughter charges being brought against Thomas Lee Neptune Chapman 35, of Stow Hill, Newport and Katie Jones, 29, of St Julians Road, Newport.

But the manslaughter charges were dropped last week and, at separate court appearances, Jones and Chapman both admitted charges of obstructing the Gwent coroner in the execution of his duty, and being concerned in the supply of heroin.

Sentencing was adjourned to a date to be decided.

But Dorian Foxwell's mother, Donelia, says she cannot grieve her son's death properly until she finds out what happened to him.

Mrs Foxwell, 57, of Treowen Road, Treowen, said: "Dorian had too much to lose to go back to injecting heroin. He had a ive-year-old daughter who he absolutely adored and we are convinced he wouldn't have gone back to heroin."

A date for the inquest into his death has not been set, but Mrs Foxwell said the needle mark was found on his body in a place he never injected, even when using heroin.

"We haven't got over his death and all this is just making it worse. "We are being kept in the dark - all we know is that he was found in a lane."

She also wants to what happened to the mobile phone, £500 in cash and brown suede jacket Dorian Foxwell was wearing the last time she saw him.

"We still don't know when he died and where he died - there are a lot of unanswered questions," Mrs Foxwell added.

"We would like to find out exactly what happened to him."
