THE Blueskins have recorded their first album in the snowy peaks of Snowdonia - and it shows.
The as yet unnamed album has a warming raucousness which can also be enjoyed on the band's live date in Wales next month.
And new single, Change My Mind, is out on Monday, February 2, following their debut, User Friendly, in June 2003.
It's a reckless romp down narrow pathways, around some real tight corners, which The Blueskins take with little heed for safety.
Lead vocalist 'Ryan' sings like a youthful Robert Plant (must be something in the air up there) and the band plays with great energy. They're styled similarly to the shouty delights of The Darkness but the content is less 80s rock, more ceilidh-friendly jig.
It's highly likely their night in Barfly, Cardiff on Friday, February 20 will be just such an occasion with free-flowing wine and women. See www.theblueskins.com for more details.
