LEICESTER will target the Newport Gwent Dragons on Saturday, says centre Hal Luscombe after the weekend's results.
Whereas the Dragons crashed to a 37-0 defeat at the hands of Stade Francais, Leicester turned around a 33-0 hiding against Ulster at Ravenhill with an amazing 49-6 triumph against them at Welford Road.
That means they will march on Rodney Parade on Saturday seeking the victory that would be the first on an opposing ground in the group and which would surely put them through to the quarter-finals.
But the Dragons are not out of it either, and if they can get the better of Leicester and then lower the threat of Ulster at their fortress Ravenhill ground they will steal a place in the last eight.
"We realise this is a target game for them," admitted Luscombe. "We've just got to cut out the mistakes and play our game and try and boss the ruck area as much as they did.
"If we increase our effectiveness there we'll create opportunities to play outside.
"Mike (Ruddock) has spoken to us and basically told us to put Sunday's game behind us and re-focus.
"We have to win our home games and we have to win on Saturday. We've done so well, we'd be letting ourselves down if we don't perform again.
"We managed to bounce back from the Leicester defeat and beat Borders and Stade Francais, and we can do it again.
"We've got to work hard this week, be honest with each other and give it that extra one per cent.
"We played well for the first 20 minutes on Sunday and if we could have sustained that who knows what would have happened?
"It's going to be huge against Leicester, a massive game and they bring big support as well. But to play against the Celtic Cup winners and the English and French champions is what you live for. We are playing against the best from three countries every game.
"The ideal would be to go to Ulster with everything to play for, with our destiny in our own hands."
