CHRYSLER has unveiled its latest new products at the Detroit Motor Show - together with four striking concept cars and the announcement that Dodge will be launching in Europe. For the UK market, Chrysler took the tops off two vehicles that are due to arrive during 2004 - the new PT Cruiser Convertible and the new Chrysler Crossfire Roadster.

The new 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster features a powered convertible fabric top and full power hard tonneau cover. Under the bonnet is a 3.2-litre 90-degree V-6, 18-valve SOHC engine available with a six speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Roadster shares the Coupe's stunning rear view with a tapered, boat tail appearance that emphasises the sports car's mammoth rear wheels plus a retractable spoiler that activates when the car reaches 62 miles per hour.

2005 PT cruiser convertible With its distinct styling, one-of-a-kind versatility, best-in-class roominess and unmatched comfort, the new Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible represents a unique offering to the soft-top customer. "Our engineers wanted to make the PT Cruiser Convertible a convertible that you can actually do things with," said Larry Lyons, Vice President - Small Vehicle Product Team Engineering. "Nine different seat configurations and a pass-through boot opening with enough room to store two golf bags make the car more versatile than its competitors.
