A NEW piece of public art was unveiled by the Newport's mayor yesterday. Newport Castle, a relief sculpture of the Great Western Railway locomotive, was unveiled by Councillor Ray Truman in the square next to the Corn Exchange.
The brick bas relief sculpture is the work of Bristol-based artists Jackson Harris Sculptures and was funded by Newport city council.
The Newport Castle is the latest addition to the city's growing public art collection which includes The Wave, This Little Piggy and the Stand and Stare statue.
