THE funeral of Dorian Foxwell, the man whose body was found dumped in a Newport lane last month, will take place on Thursday.

The service will take place at 11.30am at St Paul's Church, Newbridge, before he is buried at Brynithel cemetery.

Mr Foxwell, of Treowen Road, Treowen, was just 32 when he died, and was father to five-year-old Kayleigh-May.

His body was discovered by a jogger in Hawes Lane, between St Brides and Marshfield, on Saturday, October 25. It is believed he died the previous day.

Following his death, Mr Foxwell was described by his family as a devoted dad.

His mother, Doneilia Foxwell, called him her "lovely son" and described his love for his daughter.

And Mr Foxwell's sister, Natalie Pearce, said: "He was a great brother. He loved his family and he loved his daughter.

"I've got three kids and he loved them to bits, especially my little girl.

"He had his faults, but he was a great boy and would do anything for anybody."

Mr Foxwell, one of four children, had been 'on the sick' for a number of years following a serious road accident.

He was last seen by his family in Crumlin on October 22, and police have since revealed that he probably died of a heroin overdose.

A man and a woman from Newport, Thomas Lee Neptune Chapman, aged 34, of Stow Hill, and Katie Jones, aged 29, of St Julian's Road, have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Mr Foxwell.
