A CALDICOT photographer has snapped up an incredible eighth win in a prestigious photo award.
Tracey Clements' striking portrait of a white Samoyed dog took the pets category in the Kodak Portrait and Wedding Awards.
Tracey, 41, of Budden Crescent, Caldicot, said: "It is a wonderful feeling to win this award - every time is as good as the first.
"I love photographing animals and trying to find different techniques to ensure that the owners are satisfied. This dog had a unique expression in his eyes which intrigued me. I was eager to capture that and shot very close up. The result is exactly what I had hoped for."
Mrs Clements works with dad Glyn and brother Nick at Wye Valley Studios in Caldicot, who photograph weddings, portraits and pets.
Her win has netted her £200 of Kodak vouchers, and the portrait will go to judging for the overall title in December. She said: "The awards have helped me attract more customers. I have more people coming to me for portraits of their pets than ever before."
