Confidence (15) - Ed Burns, Rachel Weisz, Dustin Hoffman, Andy Garcia and Paul Giamatti.
UNDENIABLY cool and slick, Confidence is one of the most enjoyable films of the year.
The film cleverly cons the audience along to an ending that even I could figure out.
The film starts off with con artist par excellence Jake Vig (Ed Burns) and his team of loveable rogues stealing a large wad of cash in a clever heist.
What they don't know is that the money belongs to the grinning crazed sleazy LA mob boss Winston King (a wonderful performance from Dustin Hoffman).
King is understandably unhappy and tracks down Vig and his crew offering them a simple choice - help him con his arch gangster rival out of milllions, or face the consequences.
Mono rating: 8 out of 10
Now showing at the UGC Cinemas in Newport and Cardiff
