WELSH girl pop act Dragonheart release their first single today and are hoping for chart success.
The teenage four-piece - 18-year-old Casey Wilcox, from Cwmbran, and Vicci Lewis, Niki Fitzgerald, and Tara Panayi, from Cardiff - are aiming for a top-40 hit with their debut, Hey Mr Radio.
Manager Bill Fitzgerald said: "It's going to be a big week for the band.
"This is the old-fashioned way of running a band, instead of all this TV rubbish.
"They've been together for two years and they've built up a fanbase of around 2,000 throughout the country.
"Last week if you sold 1,300 singles you'd get in the top 40, so if all the fans go out and buy a copy this week we'd have a chart hit.
"Our target is just to get low in the top 40, and if we did that we'd be over the moon.
"We've got a great second single called Chocolate, and that's our backup plan."
The band have already performed alongside Liberty X and the Cheeky Girls at various festivals this summer, and will spend the next week playing shows up and down the UK, from Plymouth to Scotland.
