THE SUPERCLUB scene may have faded since its mid-90s heyday, but the legacy of dance festivals it left behind is as strong as ever.
And Wales' biggest dance club is once again hosting Wales' biggest dance festival. Escape Into The Park 2003 will be the fourth year that Swansea's Escape club has taken the decks and the lasers to Singleton Park for a day of dance and debauchery.
Radio One's Judge Jules and Dave Pearce headline, with the Judge playing a slightly cooler set than his Friday shows and Dangerous Dave laying on the cheese as thick as ever.
Sonique was a highlight of last year's festival and once again will be combining her DJ talents with her trademark live vocals, and the main stage will also feature John 00 Fleming, Guy Ornadel, Eddie Halliwell and Danny Slade, as well as a live set from Chicane.
In case of inclement weather, the Smirnoff Live Experience arena offers something different: a floor. And while you're getting your kitten heels out of the mud, you'll be able to dance to X-Press 2, Erick Morillo, Jon Carter, Norman Jay and the MYNC Project.
For those who like their dance a little harder - and let's face it, it's a trend that's on the increase - the Nukleuz Arena has Anne Savage, the Tidy Boys, Rob Tissera, Lisa Pin-up, Phil Reynolds and Lee Haslam, among others, bangin' it large.
And the Mixmag Future Heroes Arena will showcase the best in up-and-coming Welsh DJ talent, with sets from A Star, Neil Appeal, Dave Lewis, Miss Chiff, Phil Brobin, and Dominic Santini.
The 11-hour dance spectacular begins at noon and ends at 11pm, leaving plenty of time to get home to bed - or take the party somewhere else, with clubs in Cardiff and Swansea offering the chance to keep going.
Escape Into The Park 2003 is at Singleton Park, Swansea, and tickets are £26. Box office 01792 470000.
