VISITORS in Chepstow were given the chance to meet characters from the town's past at a special re-enactment event.
Sir William Marshall, the Lord of Chepstow Castle in 1215, kept the crowds at the Tourist Information Centre entertained along with his peasants and swordsmen.
Meanwhile, two actors dressed in Georgian costumes took a promenade around Chepstow Museum to illustrate an important era in the history of the building.
The re-enactments are performed by Chance Encounters and a series of weekend events at tourist sites in Monmouthshire are planned for the summer.
