STREET-DANCERS brought urban grooves to a Newport estate as they limbered up for their local festival and the Big Buzz gig.
Duffryn Youth Link Talent Crew - 36 youngsters from eight to 18 - spent the week practising their windmills and caterpillars ahead of Saturday's Duffryn Festival.
The young breakdancers and street-dancers are also looking forward to joining top chart acts like Blazin' Squad and D-Side and performing at Cardiff's Big Buzz festival on July 27.
The streetdancers, who have just received a £900 grant from Communities First for kit, are coached by Lesa Pates, of Duffryn Community Link.
She said: "The kids get so much confidence and such a sense of achievement."
Street dancer Zak Timmins, 16, of Chaffinch Way, Duffryn, said: "We get such a buzz out of street-dancing and learning new things. I've learnt loads of new dance moves, different styles, and it's opened up new opportunities."
