Chepstow's Chris Moreton was Guitarist Magazine's Acoustic Guitarist of the Year 1997. Since then, like wine, he's got even better with a little bit more age.
This month we have the chance to catch him live, hosted by the Islwyn Acoustic Guitar Club.
He's playing the Ynysddu Hotel, Ynysddu, on Sunday, July 20, after 8pm, before which he'll be conducting a workshop.
Chris's style is called flat-picking but he is also known as a banjo picker and as a mandolin player.
He's been playing for 30 years and was five times Guitar Champion at the Edale Bluegrass Festival.
He teaches guitar and banjo at his home in South Wales and has been a principal member of several bands.
