RISCA police are appealing for information after a young woman was attacked by three teenagers.

The 26-year-old told officers she was assaulted as she walked her dog through Sirhowy Valley park, in Wattsville, at around 9pm on Monday, June 16.

Police say she was repeatedly punched and kicked by the young men, and suffered injuries to her face and body.

The three, who all had local accents, were driven off by the woman's dog, and ran in the direction of Crosskeys.

The first was 5ft 7in, aged around 16, with a "baby face" and bleached blond hair. He was wearing a reddish-brown T-shirt and baggy blue jeans.

The second was 18, over 6ft, of slim build, with short, straight dark hair and an eyebrow piercing. He was wearing a dark top, blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The third teenager was stocky, with very dark, long, scruffy hair. He was wearing a short-sleeved top, dark tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.
