SATURDAY June 21, 1963, was a big day for fans of pop music in Abergavenny. Four young men from Liverpool - named John, Paul, George and Ringo - came to town to perform all their hits.
And 40 years later, tribute group the Cavern Beatles are recreating that magical night with two shows at Abergavenny's Borough Theatre.
The year 1963 brought Beatle-mania for the UK for the first time. And though the Fab Four were yet to create most of their most memorable music, songs like Please Please Me, From Me To You, and She Loves You left few of their fans disappointed.
The first half of the Cavern Beatles show will recreate that magic and the moment in time before their music took the world by storm. The Cavern Beatles play at 5pm and 8pm tomorrow. Tickets are £12 or £10 concessions from the box office on 01873 850805.
