THIRTEEN youngsters from Cross Ash and Skenfrith raised more than £380 for their local church and youth group with a bed push.
The bed, designed with posters and bright designs, was pushed from the Three Salmons, at Cross Ash, to the Angel, in Abergavenny.
The bed pushers, pictured, aged between ten and 15, were cheered on by a sizeable crowd, who watched them as they set off on the ten-mile jaunt.
The team stopped along the way for a cool drink and a rest and then continued until they reached their last stop.
The youngsters collected £385 in their buckets along the route and have yet to collect their full sponsorship money.
All money raised from the bed push will go to the Llanvair Cilgoed Church and the Grosmont Group Youth Worker Fund.
