THE Argus search for community heroes has found its third monthly winner.
Vilma Morgan, aged 53, pictured above left with her husband, of Ash Grove, Caldicot, has overcome a number of serious medical problems during her life, and has found time to care for others, including her husband Bob, who was seriously injured in a car accident last year.
Mrs Morgan said: "It's a lovely surprise to win.
"I didn't know my daughter had nominated me, so I'm a bit overwhelmed. But it's a nice Mother's Day gift."
Mrs Morgan was nominated by daughter Hayley, who said her mum "has a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody".
Mrs Morgan said she will donate her £100 prize money to the Ruperra Ward of St Woolos Hospital, Newport.
She said: "My husband Bob was on the Ruperra Ward after his accident, and they were really good with him."
