IESTYN Harris is almost certain to play at inside centre when Wales take on France in Paris on Saturday.

Wales coach Steve Hansen revealed he is considering the move very strongly at Wales' Vale of Glamorgan headquarters this morning.

There has been speculation that Stephen Jones' outside half position could come under pressure from Harris after the ex-Rugby League star made things happen when he went on as a replacement against Ireland.

But Hansen squashed that one by saying: "It definitely won't happen." But he added: "Jones at ten and Harris at 12 then maybe."

There is a major doubt about the fitness of Wales captain Jonathan Humphreys, who suffered a recurrence of his shoulder injury against Ireland, the one he damaged against England which kept him out of the Scottish match.

"He's still got a sore shoulder and is seeing a specialist today," said Hansen.

"He's reasonably hopeful and he's a pretty tough bloke, but its too early and we'll just have to wait and see."

Wales are also waiting on the fitness of winger Mark Jones, an early departure against the Irish with a back injury after falling heavily.

"We'll have to see how the bruise comes out," said Hansen, who indicated that Craig Morgan is the likely deputy rather than former Newport player Matthew Watkins who played for most of the game against Ireland.

If Humphreys fails to make it Mefin Davies, who replaced him against Ireland after being dropped following the Italy debacle, is sure to step in.

And that means Under-21 hooker Huw Bennett of Swansea who has yet to play a senior game, is likely to be on the bench.

Hansen is keen to retain most of the players who came close to victory on Saturday.
