MIKE Voyle returns to the Newport team for Thursday night's rearranged Welsh League Premier Division game against bottom team Caerphilly at Virginia Park.
Voyle has been back to New Zealand during the Six Nations campaign when Newport were without fixtures.
But he is now back in Newport and packs down alongside in-form skipper Simon Raiwalui at Caerphilly instead of Ian Gough in a squad change.
Another squad change is in the back row where Matthew Veater makes his first Newport start since facing Borders on October 26.
Veater is primarily a lock, but went on as a replacement against Swansea on Saturday and impressed as a blind side flanker.
That is where he plays against Caerphilly, with Steve Ojomoh switching to number eight in place of Andrew Powell, who leaves on Saturday with Gareth Gravell and Llyr Lane to represent Wales in the Hong Kong Sevens.
Paul Young makes his fifth appearance in a row at hooker as James Richards is still sidelined with long-standing shoulder and neck injuries.
The only change in the back division is the recall of Jonathan Pritchard, prevented from starting against Swansea by injury. He plays at inside centre, with Jason Jones-Hughes moving to outside centre.
Shane Howarth is fit after missing the Swansea game with a knee injury, but is on the bench with Jason Strange remaining at outside half.
Also fit is star full back Percy Montgomery, who scored two tries against Swansea though hampered by minor hip and groin injuries.
Newport loose head prop Ceri Jones is making a success of his loan spell with Zurich Premiership Harlequins. He received good reports for his performance in the victory over London Irish at the weekend.
