IF Ozzy Osbourne and his family turned up in Newport there is one shop which could be guaranteed to capture their interest.
KOAA on Upper Dock Street is the brainchild of Newport entrepreneur Peter Georgio and his partner Gill Roberts.
It offers clothes, jewellery and boots to suit Goths, New Agers, the Glastonbury set and the odd witch and wizard.
The shop opened in November and word has spread quickly in 'alternative' circles.
Gill chooses the fashion on the basis of what she would like to wear.
"I've never been interested in high street fashion because I don't like going to a party and finding three other people wearing the same outfit."
According to Peter: "In the past people would have had to go to somewhere like Camden Market in London to find this ind of thing."
Sourcing the merchandise has thrown up a few problems as it tends to originate from far-flung places such as India and Indonesia.
"I can see us doing a lot of travelling over the next few years," says Peter.
KOAA is the latest business chapter for Peter who also owns a hairdressing and bosy-piercing firm on Commercial Street and is an expert in trichology (the study of the skin, scalp and hair).
He has plans to convert the three floors above KOAA into an alternative health centre offering a number of consultating rooms and a lecture room for training students.
