MORE people in Wales now want flexible working hours rather than cash, company car or gym membership.
An online poll, carried out by recruitment website Reed, found that flexible hours were more important than money for nearly a third of people in Wales.
The poll comes on the eve of a new year campaign to raise awareness about the new family- friendly employment rights which start on April 6.
The new rights, introduced by the government, mean more pay and leave for new mothers, fathers and adoptive parents.
Patricia Hewitt, Trade and Industry Secretary, said: "The new employment rights will be a major step forward in helping businesses hold on to good staff and help millions of working parents balance work and childcare."
