Pill's magical Winter Carnival is set to be bigger, better - and brighter - than ever this year.
Thirteen illuminated floats, each with a host of costumed characters, will light up the town on Sunday, December 15. Each float will have a different theme.
The Church House Inn float will feature Christmas misery Ebeneezer Scrooge, in two scenes from Dickens' Christmas Carol.
But other floats are keeping their themes a secret until the big day.
A number of walking entries will also join the parade on its journey.
The parade starts at 5pm from the Dock Gates, and passes through Commercial Road, Cardiff Road and Mendalgief Road.
At the Royal Gwent Hospital, Father Christmas will be making a special stop-off to deliver presents to sick children.
A number of special celebrity guests will take part in the carnival - including former Newport RFC player Keith Jarrett, and a BBC film crew will be filming the festivities for a documentary.
In addition a fireworks display will illuminate the parade as it makes its way up Commercial Road.
