Pretty Girls Make Graves are a thrilling punk super-group intent on wreaking havoc in all the time available to them.
The band is made of members of punk greats Murder City Devils, The Beehive Vaults, Death Wish Kids and Kill Sadie.
Together they defy definitions of emo, hardcore and skater punk, and leave their peers wondering with splashes of disco on thrash metal.
They are a band of vitality, seemingly unaffected by shifts in fashion around them, although their sound is often like a splice of various derivative genres.
Their debut album, Good Health, out now on Lookout! Records is made of individually wrapped pieces of carnage quite distinct from the last and next.
Live, they serve each slice of chaos with maniacal precision in which their hooky twin lead guitars are only out done by front-woman Andrea Zollo.
The rest of the band is Jason Clark (guitar/vocals), Nick DeWitt (drums/vocals), Nathen Johnson (guitar), and Derek Fudesco (bass/vocals).
Andrea was in Death Wish Kids and Area 51. Jason is still in Kill Sadie and Sharks Keep Moving. Nick and Nathen were both in The Bee Hive Vaults. And Derek was a founding member of Murder City Devils.
They've been together as Pretty Girls Make Graves for one year and are based in Seattle.
After their previous incarnations, the idea of Pretty Girls Make Graves has been to return to 'defining punk' which got them into music in the first place. As a result, Pretty Girls Make Graves rock!
* Pretty Girls Make Graves play Barfly, Cardiff on December 7. Tickets are £6. For more information dial 029 2066 7658.
