YOUNG Ethan Moss didn't even want to go to his first martial arts class - but now he's clinched two world titles in kick boxing.

Ethan, 11, of Mount Pleasant Square, Ebbw Vale, pictured, won the events at the world championships held in Denmark.

The Brynmawr Comprehensive School pupil is back home celebrating his double triumph after scooping both the points and continuous fighting categories.

Ethan took his dad, Andrew, 39, along for moral support but mum Carol stayed at home to look after three-year-old daughter Rebecca.

Ethan - whose kick boxing talents were featured in the Argus last month - still cannot believe he won.

He said: "It's really exciting - I can't describe it. When your fighting there's so much adrenaline and I was so excited."

Carol said Ethan winning in two fields was a shock.

She said: "He's won competitions before and he usually takes it all in his stride - but not this time.

"When I spoke to him on the phone he was totally lost for words. I think this is a bit special to him. We're all very proud and totally ecstatic."

Ethan now has his sights firmly set on defending his titles in two years time.
