THE chorus of the Welsh National Opera - according to the Daily Telegraph - is the best in Britain, if not in Europe.
And next Thursday they make a welcome return to Ebbw Vale's Beaufort Theatre. The 40-strong chorus, formed originally as an amateur group, have won acclaim through the United Kingdom and beyond for their vocal and dramatic talents.
They will perform some of the most famous and well-loved choruses from the world of opera as well as some more unusual selections.
The chorus, conducted by Simon Phillippo, visit the Beaufort Theatre on Thursday evening.
Tickets are £14 if booked before Tuesday or £15 afterwards, and the singing begins at 7.30pm.
