Great bluesmen have great names, and Catfish Keith is no exception.
The Keith may be a little disappointing - there's not much of a sound of the Mississippi Delta about the name to British ears - but Catfish is pure blues.
Visiting Abertillery Community Theatre on Saturday night, Catfish has been winning fans for ten years as a singer, songwriter and bottleneck slide guitarist.
His foot-stomping deep Delta blues and American roots music has won him two awards for best acoustic blues album, and he has seven number one albums on the independent charts to his credit.
Catfish describes his international tours as a lifelong blues quest, and this year performed with the American Festival of the Blues around the UK.
And his credentials are impeccable; he's played with John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Robert Cray, Leo Kottke and many, many others.
Catfish Keith plays Abertillery Community Theatre next Wednesday evening.
Tickets are £7.50, the bar opens at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
