"WIN your personal battles" will be the message from Cwmbran Town captain Sean Wharton before his team take on Llanelli at Cwmbran Stadium tomorrow night.

The Crows have fallen into bad habits in recent times and according to Wharton they have started doing something they are not used to - losing.

Having lost their last four games - including Tuesday night's 4-1 defeat at Newtown - Cwmbran are looking to get back to winning ways against the West Walians.

On paper there is nothing to suggest another loss. Llanelli are rooted to the foot of the Welsh Premier League and Cwmbran have already tasted victory over Peter Nicholas' side this month with Town's 4-1 Welsh Cup win.

An injury crisis meant that Llanelli were forced to field a baby-faced team that day, with an average age of just 19, but regardless of the opposition Wharton wants his side to worry about their own game and knows that a few reputations are on the line.

None more so than that of manager Tony Willcox.

The Crows boss is one of the most respected football managers in Wales, but having lost seven games in the last nine, he will want to see his side improving or heads may roll.

Wharton said: "These results are new to Cwmbran, nobody is used to losing.

"The pressure is on the players, most of the footballers in South Wales would like to play for Tony, and if we don't start performing we could all be looking for other clubs soon."

Cwmbran face tough away trips against Caersws and Fleyx Cefn Druids next week and could do with hitting a bagful of goals past Llanelli, but Wharton is just concentrating on the job in hand.

He said: "There are no excuses. Everyone knows that things aren't right. We let ourselves down against Newtown and the whole team need to look at themselves in the mirror and make sure they win their personal battles come Friday night."
