THE mother of Jenna Baldwin has told the Argus she fears her daughter is being held captive.

Desiree Baldwin, pictured, says her daughter would contact her if she could.

Jenna, 15, has not been seen since she disappeared from her home in Abersychan on September 10.

Her family has received silent and whispering phone calls and her mother has had a number of text messages on her mobile phone.

At first they thought it was a cruel hoax - but a new spate of messages has led Mrs Baldwin to believe that her daughter is trying to make contact.

But she fears the style of the messages, and the whispered phone calls, mean Jenna is unable to speak to her properly, because someone is preventing her.

She said: "I think it is Jenna but I'm just really worried now that somebody's holding her.

"She can't seem to text herself and hasn't rung, I think it is somebody not allowing her to, so I am really worried she is being held somewhere.

"I know definitely that she would have phoned - perhaps she is going along with the texts so she can get in touch some way.

"It seems that someone is sort of doing them for her, it just seems something is stopping her.

"I am just afraid that the police will not get to her in time, I just want them to hurry up and find her."
