CWMCARN Paragon's Welsh International Stuart McDonald extended his winning sequence when he claimed his third club championship.
McDonald produced a storming ride in difficult conditions to record an excellent 54min 39sec, ahead of the ever improving Garry Thomas, 56min 45sec. While Garry Jones continued his rich vein of form as the first placed Vet in the club 25 mile championship. McDonald's time gave him 11th place overall in the Welsh Championship. Huw Salway warmed up for the Welsh title race with a fine victory in the latest race in the evening 10 series in 22min 27sec.
Anthony Malarczyk gave his Commonwealth Games a boost with a fabulous ride in the Isle of Man international mountain time trial. Despite suffering a bad crash the previous week, the Cwmfelinfach rider covered the 37.75 mile course in 1hr 29min 40sec to finish third behind Stuart Dangerfield.
