ALFIE Humphreys (pictured) may only be 16 months old but he already looks set to land his first job - as a model.
The tot's potential was spotted by top agency Models Direct when his mother sent them a picture.
Proud mum Jane Brussalis, 34, of Stelvio Park Drive, Newport, said: "Ever since he was born everyone has said what a beautiful baby he is. I know all mums say that, but Alfie's got something special.
"He was such a head-turner I thought I'd try the agency. They wrote back, saying they would love to take him on."
The little boy will stay on the Norwich-based ag-ency's books for the next three years, and future jobs could include photographic modelling, television commercials or appearing on toy packaging and other children's products.
Alfie is awaiting his first modelling assignment, but his proud mum says he's a born performer.
"I think this could just be the beginning of a great career. Anything he earns I will be saving up for his future."
Little Alfie weighed in at 9lb 7oz when he was born at the Royal Gwent Hospital, in Newport, and had a shock of dark brown hair. He also has bright blue eyes and a lovely smile, which Jane says is his best feature.
She believes he takes after his dad, Brian, who owns the Italian Job scooter shop in Newport.
"Alfie seems to have the right temperament for modelling, he is very happy-go-lucky and always smiling.
"We haven't had any sleepless nights with him, even when he is teething," Jane added. Alfie's siblings, Ethan, who is seven, and Lois, 13, are said to be very proud of him, and think their baby brother is "wonderful".
Earlier this week the Argus reported how Hayley Jones, 19, from Maesderwen Road, Pontymoile, had been signed up by the agency.
Hayley was always a model daughter - she has helped her father, Mike, cope with the anguish of being diagnosed with leukaemia and his six-year battle against the disease.
