EBBW VALE'S director of rugby Ray Harris has issued a plea to help the club find a backer in their hour of need, writes Ryland James.
The Steelmen desperately need to find an investor willing to pay £350,000 to help them survive the forth coming season - if not the club could cease to exist as a business.
The club hope the WRU will help them out by buying £350,000 shares in the club, but they are also looking for a private backer.
Harris said: "Unless there is somebody out there, we can not continue to operate. "Ebbw Vale has to be, in these circumstances, one of the most attractive potential buys for a private of corportate owner anywhere in the rugby world.
"It's a fantastic opportunity, it's a really well run club, we have a great academy and under-21 system and have assembled a young very talented young players. "But unless we can find the money we need, we won't last the season."
