CHEPSTOW town centre was transformed into a hive of activity this week as a series of fun-packed and free festival events kicked off.
Shoppers who wandered into Cormeilles Square could enjoy a croissant and French coffee in Rene's Caf, as well as stock up on locally grown produce at the farmers' market.
A band of street entertainers, including Sparky the Robot, could also be seen wandering around the High Street, adding to the fun-filled atmosphere. St Mary's Priory Church was bustling throughout Saturday as local artists put their work on display for Art on the Railings.
The display was complemented by an exhibition of arts and crafts from all over the Wye Valley in the Cavill Hall.
There was plenty to keep the kids occupied in the afternoon, too, when a wildlife roadshow rolled into town.
The free events were organised as part of Chepstow's month-long summer festival. Art on the Railings will continue until Saturday. *PICTURED: Chepstow Twinning Association members Thomas Boyd-Meaney (left) and Bryan McDowell at the Cafe Rene
