ANOTHER sighting of the so-called Beast of Trellech was reported yesterday.
Inspector Mark Wheatsone of Gwent Police said a teacher had reported spotting a big cat yesterday at 2.25pm in the top car park of Trellech Primary School.
The witnesss said it moved into bushes and disappeared.
He said: "Officers attended and with the assistance of staff made a search of the area that proved negative."
The school was the location of a previous sighting at the end of June, when a cat was reported prowling on banking by the school's sports field by pupils as they practised for a forthcoming sports day.
The animal, which was said to be 20ft to 30ft away from the children, fled when a whistle was sounded in a nearby playground.
