GARY Teichmann is back on a flying visit to Newport, his first since retiring and returning to South Africa at the end of last season.
The Springbok rugby legend will be at tonight's Newport-Cardiff clash and met up with Newport owner Tony Brown again last night (pictured, left).
"I always got on well with Gary and it's great to see him here again from my point of view," said Brown.
"It shows the attachment Gary had to the side and the club that he is back. I have kept in touch with him and it's a great pleasure to see him again."
Teichmann spent two years with Newport after leading South Africa to a record number of Test victories.
He captained Newport for most of those two seasons, including their first cup final triumph for 24 years at the end of last season.
Teichmann is keeping a typically low profile on his visit, declining to give any interviews but is sure to receive a big tribute from the Newport fans tonight.
