A MAN was rescued from a third floor flat last night when a fire broke out.
The fire took hold on the ground floor of a block of flats, Ross House, in Victoria Street, Old Cwmbran.
A South Wales Fire Service crew arrived at the scene at around 6.15pm and rescued a man, who was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
The fire crew managed to contain the fire and bring it under control shortly before 7pm.
Nobody else was hurt in the fire, the cause of which has yet to be confirmed.
