COUNTRY houses in Monmouthshire could become backdrops for a new film being produced by a Cardiff company.
Filming of the £7 million American psychological thriller The 1 Inside is expected to begin next month and will be entirely shot in Wales by company CF1 - with speculation some parts of Monmouthshire could be used.
Monmouthshire's location for films has been promoted at various events, including the American Film Market, as officials attempt to reinvent the county's image.
The county has already featured in scenes from Casualty, the latest filming for the series was last week, and in the film Arthur's Dyke, which stars Pauline Quirk.
And the county even has its own film star in the face of Caldicot's Ian Virgo who starred in the film Black Hawk Down.
The latest film to feature Monmouthshire's glorious landscape is about a man suffering from amnesia following a car accident. As his memory returns he remembers that he and his brother share a secret about an inheritance.
Filming in areas that appear to look like New England, where the original story is set, begins at the end of May and will last six weeks.
