WISH you were here? Former Jet Setter Jan Flanagan's holiday snaps are something she will treasure for the rest of her life.
They feature a place which has enchanted celebrities like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, and director Francis Ford Coppola.
But Jan, 45, of Swallow Way, Duffryn, Newport, admits she is glad to be back in Gwent after her week in the lap of luxury thanks to the BBC1 National Lottery Jet Set programme.
Even though, she says, she now feels more "jet-lagged" than "jet-set". Jan returned to Wales with her friend of 33 years and travel partner Diane Stokoe, 44, of Malpas, after losing out in last Saturday's National Lottery Jet Set quiz show.
But that was after a week of the high life in Mexico. After jetting out first class from Britain, the pair spent their first night in a five-star hotel in Mexico City before heading for the exclusive resort of Las Alamandas which was their base for the week.
Jan said: "When I found out where we were going I was a little bit disappointed because I wanted somewhere a bit more lively but when I realised how nice the place was I was overwhelmed. It was an absolute paradise and if I hadn't won the quiz I probably would never have heard about it let alone stayed there."
The six villa hideaway located one hour and 45 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta on the West Coast of Mexico has been a magnet for celebrities such as Francis Ford Coppola who hired out the entire resort last year.
Jan even had the fortune to stay in the lavish suite that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston had for the dawn of the Millennium.
During the week, Jan and Diane got to go on a jeep safari, swam with dolphins, did horse-riding, body boarding and even visited a remote island called La Cocina.
She admits living the jet-set lifestyle isn't all that it is cracked up to be, however: "We were both gutted when we lost last Saturday but to be honest but I don't know if I could have kept it up for another week because the jet-set lifestyle is hard work!
And she added: "I'm feeling more like 'jet-lagged Jan' than 'jet-set Jan' at the moment!" However, the privileges haven't quite ended for Jan and Diane just yet as they are being whisked to a five star hotel in London on Friday night ahead of Saturday night's Lottery Show where they will be pressing the button to release the most famous balls in the country.
Jan said: "Our lavish lifestyle hasn't ended just yet and we are looking forward to treading in the footsteps of some very famous people by releasing the balls on Saturday."
